The common reason why many of the consumers give up on healthy eating is that they eliminate cereals, pasta, bread, rice, vegetable oils, and sugar. Nature didn’t design us to eat a lot of bread, pasta, rice, refined cereals, sugary foods, additives and preservatives. Those so-called foods were not part of our natural diets thousands of years ago. A study from Cambridge University proves it. Researchers showed that after agriculture became dominant around 7,000 years ago, people became weaker, less active and slower.

While common people switch to a modern, Western diet, they become obese, weaker and slow. In other words, the modern diet has led to a major decline in human health … And they develop all of our modern health issues like obesity, heart disease, tooth decay, osteoporosis, cancer, diabetes and depression. Returning to what I call primal nutrition can change all the old perspective. It can also help you lose that extra weight and stay in good healthy.

Eating great is simple. Here are key factors to primal nutrition:

  • Eat more high-quality protein. Modern dietary guidelines recommend only about two ounces. A good suggestion is eat one gram of protein for every one pound of lean muscle mass in your body. If you weigh 140 pounds and have 20% body fat, you have 112 pounds of lean muscle. That means your goal is about 112 grams(approx. 4 ounces) of protein a day. This will control your appetite, and triggers your body to burn off fat and generate lean muscle.
  • Eat natural, unprocessed plant related foods and the usual cattle and poultry-like animals. They will contain elements that give your regular essential nutrition. That means sticking to fresh organic produce for example pastured eggs, natural roaming cattle and fishes caught in the sea.

Following the Paleo diet is one way to get started with the primal way of eating. Just like our ancestors who relied mainly on meat, fish, eggs, berries, nuts and fruits instead of the carbs in our modern habit.So, how to enjoy Paleo sandwiches … chocolate … pasta … pancakes?
